The Sixth Sense
In this bonus edition of The Pod Charles Cinecast, we are finally kicking off two new side ventures – BRUCE WILLS US: A Pod Charles Cinecast Brucie Bonus, where we're going to be looking at some of our favourite films from Bruce Willis once a month on the main timeline, and SHYAMALAMANIA, where we will be charting the films of M. Night Shyamalan in special Patreon exclusives.
As an introductory, and because the M. Night film we're starting off with just happens to star Bruno himself, we're going to combine these two ideas into one for a special episode that will hopeful entice more people to come support us over at patreon.com/ThePCCPodcast!
Join hosts Jonathan Foster and Fil Freitas head to Philadelphia to see about a boy who can see dead people! You know what film it is! It's of course the 1999 horror classic, THE SIXTH SENSE. Bruce Willis stars as a child psychologist who's new patient, Haley Joel Osment, gives him more than he bargained for, as he questions his own mortality. Whoops, that is the twist!
It's a chilled out, relaxed episode, where we are charting the birth of M. Night Shyamalan's famous storytelling technique (the Twist ending), and the director's obsessions with faith; while also taking a look at the enigma that is Bruce Willis, who always leaves us entertained with his unique career choices.
"I see dead people."
