Coming of age in A Bronx Tale

This week on The Pod Charles Cinecast, presented by The Prince Charles Cinema, our hosts Jonathan Foster and Fil Freitas head to the Bronx in the 1960s to hear a tale about a young man choosing between the grind of a working man or the living the high life as a slick gangster. Guess what we learned? The working man is a sucker, and Mickey Mantle ain't gonna pay your rent!

Next up in the Filaversary arc, is the 1993 coming-of-age gangster movie, A BRONX TALE, written by Chazz Palminteri and the directorial debut of Robert De Niro. Each of these powerhouse actors also star in the movie, based on the real life experiences of Palminteri growing up in the Bronx.
